JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS *
Jumpers for goalposts is all about true grassroots football. It is trying to bring the joy of football to everyone no matter their ability or experience.
Jumpers recognises that not all children are able to commit to playing for a team due to various factors. The idea for Jumpers is that any pupil can sign up for a session, be put into a team and then play. There is no commitment to the team or training, it is literally turn up and play.
Although Jumpers for goalposts is not a football club, we fully support and uphold the values of FA’s Grassroots Respect agenda. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for everyone involved in our activities.
We expect all participants - whether staff, visitors, young people, or external partners- to treat each other with fairness, dignity, and respect at all times. By promoting these shared values, we help ensure that our community remains a welcoming and supportive place for all.
Jumpers for goalposts is brought to you by Lisa McHugh.
I am a qualified teacher, teaching science at the moment but previously a PE teacher. I am committed to providing children with a safe space to enjoy grassroots football. In addition I believe it is really important for all children to have access to opportunities to play sport.
I was previously a member of the School Sports Coordinator Programme which was instrumental in developing sporting opportunities for children across the country.
