Safeguarding Children Policy
Our Commitment
At Jumpers for Goalposts, we are committed to creating a safe and positive environment where all children can enjoy playing football. We follow the core principles of The FA’s Safeguarding Children Policy and ensure the welfare of every child is paramount.
Key Principles
- All children have the right to be protected from harm, abuse, and exploitation. - All children, regardless of age, disability, race, gender, religion or belief, sexual orientation or identity, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.
- Working in partnership with children, parents/carers, and other agencies is essential to safeguarding children.

Our Safeguarding Practices
- All staff and volunteers working directly with children must hold a valid enhanced DBS
check.
- All staff must complete safeguarding training and follow our child protection procedures.
- We maintain up-to-date emergency contact and medical information for all participants.
- We do not allow adults to be alone with children without supervision unless an emergency requires it.
- We respond quickly and appropriately to concerns or allegations of abuse. Reporting Concerns
Any concerns about a child’s welfare or inappropriate behavior by an adult or child must be reported to the DSL immediately. If there is immediate danger, call 999.
Policies Reviewed Annually
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect changes in legislation or guidance.
